Beautiful Aireen was wonderful to work with. Not only is she a gorgeous bride-to-be, she is also fun! I had an idea of using these masques I found at a world mercado recently. I thought she'd make the perfect "model" to try out the concept. Thanks also to her friend Steven. He was a great help! : )

Tango!

Pretty sexy, huh! Loved this shoot! I am a HUGE fan of tango music (since I cannot dance to save my life!). And when Kai and Grant approached me to shoot some promotional pix for them, I leapt at the chance. The two of them teach and perform tango throughout North Texas. Hey, Valentine's Day is coming up. What a great gift for a romantic evening of tango dance lessons! Check out Kai and Grant at Tango North Dallas for more info on lessons and packages. And see them perform on February 12, 2011 at the Rose Marine Theater in Fort Worth. Ole!

The Beauty Of A Chihuly

I first learned about Dale Chihuly's glass art after visiting the home of a billionaire this past summer. The family had a breath taking Chihuly chandelier in their main room. I could have spent all day looking at it. How does Chihuly execute such a bold idea and turn it into something as fragile as glass? I've visited his site and it just doesn't do justice to his work. You have to see one to really get the feel.  I photographed the images above at a house my friend, Kim Turner designed . And right there, in the front room was this gorgeous Chihuly piece. I think I am destined to own one...some day. Enjoy!

When you put your head on the pillow tonight think about those who are sleeping on the streets, cement floors of shelters or in their cars. 

Dwell With Dignity is doing its best to help transition less fortunate folks into safe homes with an all volunteer staff, donations and sponsors. Duxiana hosted a reception for designers and realtors and introduced the group to Dwell With Dignity's efforts. Hopefully, more sponsors will get on board and DWD can help even more people.
