Heard some terrific news today from my friend, Dianne Lester. She's the wedding coordinator for Cooper Guest Lodge in Dallas. Her grandaughter, Gabby, underwent heart surgery in the spring. Now her family is in need of money to help cover the expenses of the life-saving surgery. Dianne's family masterfully mustered enough support at their recent golf fundraiser to raise more than $9,000 to help cover Gabby's operation. I jumped at the chance to help raise money for the two-year old and her family. I have a niece Gabby's age and couldn't imagine what it must be like for that family to be faced with something so serious. I donated a portrait session/prints for the silent auction. I was so happy to hear what a success they had. Dianne also tells me they are trying to hold another fundraiser, a Casino Night in early November.
